The UK's top 20 property hotspots were all outside the South East of England and most many miles away from the nearest city.
This is now the new face of Britain where families are escaping the smoke for the picturesque countryside.
This has led to dramatic price increases in property prices in the North of England and Scotalnd while the South of England has seens its prices stall.
Scotland has in fact 9 of the 20 top property hotspots and the Number one was in Alexandria situated on the edge of Loch Lomond. The fastest rising property hotspot in England was Wednesbury in the West Midlands where house prices rose by over 31%.
The top spot in Wales was taken by Holyhead on Anglesey with prices increasing by 30% putting it into 6th place overall.
But to find the most expensive homes in the UK you only need to go to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire where average house prices are an incredible £649,239.
